STAHL
NEC Stahl is one of the largest steel fabricating
and contracting companies in Namibia. The factory in Okahandja is
fully equipped and staffed to carry out the fabrication of all types
of major structural and mechanical steelworks to the most stringent
specifications and requirements (ISO 9001 of 2000).
The facilities include 8,000m2 of covered
fabrication bays, served by 10 ton overhead cranes.
NEC Stahl has permanent site establishments at
Rossing, Rosh Pinah and recently Langer Heinrich mines.
Realising the potential in the coastal region NEC Stahl has recently established an engineering
office complete with drafting services in Swakopmund , and the divisions operational management is also housed there.
The familiarity with local market and operating conditions make NEC Stahl an often preferred service provider for the Namibian clients although larger projects are frequently conducted in liaison with major South African engineering houses. NEC Stahl has benefitted greatly from the fresh capital introduced by NEC’s new partners, and considerable upgrades of operating tools, equipment and vehicles, as well as plant and machinery, have been undertaken. NEC Stahl is favourably positioned in it’s niche market and has seen rapid growth since the resurgence of the mining industry , notably the uranium mines, in the last few years. |
